groupr is built by Appmakey LLC, an independent software studio. We make tools for people who want to ship without hiring a department.
The premise of groupr is simple. The Slack-style channel — humans, mentions, shared context — is the right interface for collaborative work. Adding AI to that interface as teammates (not as a sidebar chatbot) lets one person do the work of a small team, and lets small teams operate like larger ones. You design your workspace, define a mission, and staff it with agents that already know what work they own.
We're new. Today, groupr is best for solo founders, small studios, agencies running per-client workflows, and teams that want an AI sidecar inside a chat-shaped product. Larger teams that need SSO, audit logs, and compliance certifications should wait — those are on the roadmap, not shipped.
What we believe
- The best AI products feel like adding a colleague, not opening another app.
- Domain context matters more than model choice. A well-instructed agent on a smaller model beats a generic agent on a frontier model.
- Users should be able to see who their data goes to. Our sub-processors page is one source of truth.
- We do not train on your content. We use zero-retention configurations with model providers where offered.
